staying healthy with our busy lifestyles is something that takes more than just determination. Having a few tools to help you stay on top of the daily grind (i.e. abuses to our body and mind )can make all the difference. Golden milk will help you alleviate your chronic pain and make sure your cells have all the antioxidants they need to fight those free radicals. Here is the recipe:
1/4 cup Tumeric powder
1/2 cup water
8-12 oz of milk of your choice (plant, nut or cow - my favorite and the most beneficial is coconut)
ground black pepper or a few peppercorns - a must
cinnamon (to taste -optional)
if you need to sweeten add honey (is packed with minerals, vitamins and anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties)
boil your water over Medium heat. Add tumeric powder gradually. It will quickly make a paste. It should be about the consistency of peanut butter - only not as thick. But not runny like soup.
set your paste aside. It will keep for weeks in the refrigerator.
Heat 8-12 oz of milk of your choice over a low heat. Add 1 Tablespoon of the tumeric paste, a pinch of ground pepper and cinnamon if you like. I encourage you to try it without the honey - it's pretty good as is.
